Black Jack: This dreamboat of a cat came to WAG with a septic leg, and when we first saw him we wondered whether we could save his life, never mind his leg. Two of our wonderful vets formed a tag team, so he could get 24/7 care, and after many weeks of IV antibiotics, we are thrilled to report that he's going to be fine, and this 2-year-old long and large (~15 lbs.) boy is going to make someone a terrific companion. Jack will need to be kept relatively quiet for a few more months, as well as get oral (liquid, so easy to give) antibiotics, just as insurance, but once that is done, he should have no further problems and will lead a totally normal life. As for personality, the only thing we can say about this all-black cat is he's just perfect. You want to cuddle? This lover of a cat wants you to pick him up and kiss him whenever you are so moved. As he's a young cat, he does like to play with toys, but he isn't insane about it, just fun. Being perfect also extends to getting along nicely with dogs, but he must be an only cat. WAG only accepts applications from New Hampshire residents and from residents of communities in Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts that are on the New Hampshire border.
